Klaus Pfister
Klaus Pfister, in München geboren, studierte klassisches Saxophon. Während eines längeren Irlandaufenthaltes begann er Irische Flöte, Whistles und die irische Rahmentrommel Bodhrán zu lernen – was für eine andere Welt! Heute wohnt er in Sissach im Baselbiet und arbeitet auch mit Bands wie „Toe for Toe“, „Bogroad“ oder „Fyrmoon“. Seine Liebe zur Irischen Musik liefert ihm die perfekte Ausrede (leithscéal), um durch die ganze Schweiz zu tingeln und auf Sessions aufzutauchen.
Klaus Pfister
Klaus Pfister, born in Münich, studied the saxophone. While on a lengthy visit to Ireland, he learned to play the Irish flute, tin whistle and the bodhrán. He says he has settled in Sissach, Canton Baselland, but, in reality, his work as a professional musician brings him around Switzerland where he plays with other bands such as Toe for Toe and Bogroad. His love of Irish music provides an easy excuse (leithscéal) to attend the numerous sessions, usually not in Sissach!
